Anybody own one of these and if so are they any good? Been thinking of buying some sort of multi effects unit as I will be starting to gig soon and would like a bit more variation in sound. Whatever I think about buying I will be trying it out before hand.
Any advice fellow guitar slingers?

Cheers.

Haven't tried this specific unit before, but similar small units like zoom's 505,707 etc. SU*KS LIKE HELL !

I don't mean to compare between Digitech to Zoom, but usualy I don't trust these small thingies. (Perhaps I've just seen more than too much from zoom)

The GNX-2 is bomb proof. Im using it directly into a Korg D1600 via its S/PDIF output and the sound quality is orgasmic. It is up there with the PodPro as one of my fave toys.

Im coming to my own conclusions about multi-effects, and that is that the RP series basically sucks crap, especially when compared to the GNX series (or whatever its called). i'd go for either the 2 or 3, or a boss gt-6.

For $99 you can't go wrong for bedroom and "buddy-jam" situations with the RP, but as far as gigging goes, unless you have a set list of presets handy you might have problems with tap-dancing on the pedal and some volume fluctuations between various settings.
As far as a practice tool is is great.
