Haven't heard anything. I just checked out Satriani.com, and there wasn't anything up there either.

Satch is touring with Dream Theater now. I donīt know what Vai is doing but after Dream Theaters World Tourbulence, thereīs a possibility for G3.

I've never heard of G3,but since you guys have mentioned Satriani(is Satch the nickname?) and Vai(that would be Steve, right?),it's reminded me something someone once told me,that Petrucci taught Vai to play.Is he there as well?

No no, you see Joe "Satch" Satriani thought Steve Vai to play (he taught even Kirk Hammett) and John Petrucci is mainly self taught but he took lessons at Barkley as all other Dream Theater members.
From the beggining Eric Johnson was in G3 along with Vai and Satch but was replaced by Petrucci on the last tour (of course not because Johnson is bad our somthing, I guess he didnīt have enough time for a side project). Billy Shehan (amazing bas player is also in the band) and Mike Portony (drummer from Dream Theater) was there as well. What a band.
They have only one record, itīs a live record but that one is from Eric Johnson era.

I saw Satch + Dream Theater when they came to Houston. It was a great show.. but sadly they aren't that well known around here and it was a small venue. I expected them to be playing in stadiums or something. I missed G3 last time around, I'd love to see it sometime tho - I didn't realize it happens every year.

I believe Eric Johnson did it the 1sr yr., Kenny Wayne Sheperd the 2nd, and Petrucci the 3rd. Don't know what they'll do this year, maybe ressurect Hendrix from the dead.

Iīve heard that Zakk Wylde, Dimebag Darell and that dud from Slipknot whoīs a guitar player of course are planing to start a new kind of G3. Man I would love to see that but I doubt if it would be better than orginal G3 but this one would definitly be more wild and heavy.

that dud from slipknot is called mick thompson, and he in one AMAZING shredder, hardly anyone knows of his talent and a G3 with him would be great
