I like a lot of Primus, but sometimes I'd rather put on some Joe Satriani and try to pretend that the more I listen, the better I'll get, instead of just listening to some "hey everyone, get in a big redneck mosh pit" music. They put on a better show than satch, though. That is, they make better concert music, but that doesn't mean I want to listen to them on my stereo alone.

I know what you're saying, personally, listening to songs like "Wynona's Big Brown Beaver" and "Tommy The Cat" aren't my thing, unless I'm racing a BMW, but songs like "On The Tweak Again" and "Southbound Pachyderm" as well as "Prefessor Nutterbutter" are good as stand-alones.
Oh yeah, incidents, I'm drawing a comic that involves deadheads... I'll post it up after its completion... heheheh....
I think the bass in primus is just wonderful...and I can pop them in at any given time and jam on about any of their songs ;)

Earlier this summer I put The Brown Album in after a long rest and became completely obsessed with The Chastizing of Renegade. Beautifully layered composition.
Greet the Sacred Cow and Drowning Man off of Antipop both do wonders for me in their own way.
That's the beauty of Primus: They cover so much ground musicly that you can always find something new to latch onto when you think you've played the CD out for good.
Reminds me of Soundgarden's Superunknown in that I can always put it on and be blown away. Speaking of which, I should dig that CD out... I think it's packed up in a box somewhere.

PRIMUS SUCKS what was up with that anyhow those stickers where everywher for a time and I still see them every now and then but those damn Blue collar tweakers is a great song
...Heh There is nothing about primus that sux heheheee and one of the things I like about this band is the fact They enjoy what they do...They are funny...They don't just sing songs about love or rock-n-roll...or thug bashing rap crap....They get out there and have fun with what they are doing...and as most bands know(tho they seem to forget)...Having Fun and enjoying yourself is what it's all about.

The whole Primus Sucks thing was a joke. Way back in the days where the internet was only in 3% of the homes in America, some kid bought the domain http://www.primus.com and http://www.primusband.com in anticipation of Primus eventually needing a domain name. When Primus asked him for the domain, he said he'd give it to them for some ungodly sum of money. So, instead, the band bought http://www.pimussucks.com
Clever? You bet...

sadly, that's what has happened to a lot of people. But courts everywhere are giving more and more credit to the guy that should own the name, instead of the cyber squatter.

Lacquer head is on my opinion the coolest Primus song ever, considering the combination of cool bass playing and funny lyrics.

"PRIMUS SUCKS!" Predates the internet.
Fans have been shouting it at them since the late 80s.
Note that Les can even be heard on one track of Suck on This (recorded live in 1991 if I remember correctly) saying "Hey! We're Primus. We suck."

Well, that's what I said (well, not that we're primus, but that we suck) when my band played our first gig at a talent show for bands about a year ago, and I didn't know about Primus then. So I guess it's a commonly used concept. We won though...
