Sevendust (http://www.sevendust.com)

They don't get much airtime, but they still rock.

it's a wee bit early to say dont you think (since we're only 2 years in)?
but so far, Sigor Ros, System of a down, sonic youth, radio head are all good contenders

Dude, Stratovarius have been around for a while. Actually, Dream Theater finally made it commercially in 2002. Six degrees of inner turbulence entered the billboard list! So there's my final answer. Dream Theater is the best f*ckin band of the new (and last, hehe) milennium.

Besides, their new album kicks ass, so they're NOT sell-outs!

Nice to know someone else feels the same way I do.....by far the most advanced and challenging metal music band I've come across.....and its not every day you come across a singer with LaBrie's range. Try learning 'Under a Glass Moon'...its wicked fun to play along with...pure metal speeeeeeed  oh, and the solo's are ****ing scary.
