Sadly I learned how to play my bar chords the wrong way, so I've devoloped some tendrils (spell check) where there shouldn't be that many. How I learned them by was tucking my elbow into my side, I really didn't put much thought into it. Until today at my guitar lesson (i'm learning Stairway to Heaven) my guitar dude told me to put my elbow out from my side. So I want to know if there are like any stretches you can do for like you wrist muscle type things. Cause I'm in serious pain here and it's not cool.

Hey the best advice I could give you is do what you fell is the most comfortable. When I first started learning people tried to tell me how my body should be positioned when I played and it never worked. You gotta find your own way to play. After all everyone plays diffrent.
And as for your chord habits, their actually easy to break if you keep practicing and practicing its just like learning a new song because when you learn a new song sometimes you make the mistake of going to a diffrent fret or using a diffrent chord because thats what you were used to from another song.

So just keep practicing and the problem will fix itself!

thats why you take lessons right away, so you wont get those bad habits in the first place.

I was taking lessons while I developed the habit, but we never did bar chords at our sessions sooooooooo he couldn't correct me. I guarantee it will be fixed in a week.
