sheesh.. I am the oldest guy who posts on this board?
haven't any of you guys seen the film "Crossroads"???

Jack Butler (played by Steve Vai) was the name of the Devil's guitarist in the duel at the end of the film.

or is it just my warped sense of humour ?? http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/biggrin.gif

oh that, i forgot. that's his pen name or pick name. He had a post in the Guitar tricks site topic about 3 months ago saying what his what his real name was and he had a new lp or something like that coming out.

Ralph Macio... playing guitar... oh my! Whenever I watch that movie I fast forward right to the end when Steve plays. It makes me laugh everytime I see it because you can tell he had to try real hard to make it sound like he was actually messing up on the last guitar part. But they did do a good job of making it look like lil' old Ralph was actually playing that stuff.

BadHorsie, holdin' it down like Gravity!

yep, ralph was good in the movie, he knew just where to position his hands on every part of the last piece. And Jon Seneca is a funny guy. any of you ever him play the guitar? he's good, i've heard him play several times(also on an episode of matlock) also a good harmonica man and singer.

yeah, its a good duel esp the begining bit when its real duel between Steve & Ry. I remeber whent he film came out fist.. its was everyones task in life to play the "duel" complete.. I knew of one guy how could do it. Everyone else just gave up then, we'd sit slackjawed and watch this git play it throughout - he'd even get the "**** up" bits correct at the end.
