Yo guys, this is off-topic for guitars, but what the heck does "lol" mean? I see it everywhere, but I don't know what it signifies. I'm guessing it is an acronym for "little old lady" or "light o' lefty" or something. Or maybe "like it or leave it?" Or does it just mean "wink, wink!" I'm new to online forums, so forgive my ignorance.

yeah i thought so, but didnt want to get myself a reuptation as a potty mouth.... although if you can explain to me why it's ok to say 'poop' but naughty to say '****' you're one smart guy.....

it is because this forum wants you to use high-level-language - so sh*t shoudl rather be "rectal waste" or "ex-food" or whatever *L*
