I just got the new GuitarOne with APC on the cover, and it had a small article on Guitarwar.com. I thought it was pretty cool...

Hmmm. I went to the bookstore but didn't see it in guitarone. What is APC? Maybe they had an old issue.

Do you know what page the article is on?

APC is A Perfect Circle, Maynard from TOOL's side project. I guess they're album is doing real well or something. The issue also has a feature on Southern Rock and Pete Townshend. It's on page 19 of the "Get Plugged In" section in the top right part of the page.

A perfect Circle, imho, is a great band. Got a really catchy sound. Lotta chunky palm muting, and their lead player uses a slide liberally in their first single, "Judith". Their Bass player is a femme. http://www.guitarforums.com/gtubb/wink.gif (i think)

I saw APC open for Nine Inch Nails. The bassist was a hottie, but I didn't think the band was all that special. Maybe it was because Maynard seemed stoned outta his gourd, I could barely hear his vocals, and then he proceeded to lay down behind the monitors for the last half of the set, then at the end, he flipped off the crown and ran off the stage... I thought the bald guitarist guy did some cool stuff, but nothing too special.

Well... the CD is really good... the vocals are extremely haunting. And i love the slide usage.

Yeah, slide stuff can be really cool. It's hard to sound unique w/ a slide though.

I saw APC with NIN too and they kicked ass he sang better than on the album. They used ALOT of guitars i saw them switch every damn song. Oh and i got that guitar one and thought that guitarwars sounded cool too!
