Writer's Block to Some Degree

I never have a problem coming up with ideas for songs (instrumental), but they never fit together. If I think of a beautiful sounding verse, I can't think of a chorus for it. Or I can think of a good bridge, but no verse sounds good with it. My songs follow a simple chord progression (or in some cases a complex one) and they don't stray from that progression, lending to a somewhat repetitive sound. Any ideas on how to come up with different sections, while retaining the sound of the song?

How about this song, for example... Am, E/G#, G, D/F#, F, E is the progression. I have two sections of the song, which is more than I can get on most songs, but I still want more... maybe like a change in the progression.
