What the heck is that animation that
shows up on about every page doing there?????
Its an old man that talks about Vegas and is
really annoying.
Is this here to stay?
Maybe its supposed to be there, I just wanted
to say that I find it highly annoying.

It won't be there for long, but it will really help pay for the server costs. It is the only real money this site has seen this year, so we gotta take it.

Oh its supposed to be there.
I was just so surprised, I thought
it was an evil Killer-Advertisement-Virus
or something.
Well it doesnt appear on my browser anymore,
just once in a while, so its not that annoying
anymore.

Do you get any kind of 'click thru' income? I mean, would it help if we click on your advertiser banners just so their sites could register our Guitartricks cookies?

Rickles, get off my screen, you Hockey Puck! Still waiting on that CPO Sharkey reunion show, good to know you got a job parking cars in Vegas!

Don't bother to over-click the banners. They get pissed off at me if people do that.
This was just a good way to pay the server bill. I got a lot of email complaining about it, but this site costs real money to host, and we need the money.

hmmm... have you ever thought about giving members (on a volunteer basis) the possability to become something like a "supportive member" - i mean a member that pays a small monthly/annual fee (the member itself can decide how much).
Im sure there would be at least 10 or 20 members and that might help you a bit. A friend of mine did that with a discussionboard on paranormal phenomenon.. and it worked just fine - membership is free, but some peeps want to support the site and so they pay for it.
what do you think
( i can imagine that now hundreds of reasons why this will NOT work will be posted *LOL* oh well..)
:D

Good idea, Az. I'd be willing to do something like that.

I've been toying with that thought for some time, now. Just how much does it cost to keep this site going for a month?
