I need help on buying my first amp. I have about 2 or 3 hundred dollars to spend. I need an amp that gives a great clean tone and a great distorted tone, good and loud, and is good enought for PRACTICING with my band. Not for concerts just practice. And could anyone help me on and idea for a second bigger amp for like concerts at school and such thanx. ROCK ON!!!!!!!!!!!!!

well, I dont know. I own 2 amps:
1. Peavey blazer 158 $120-150?
2. Fender Show 100 $475

I like them both. I think I mighta blown the first one (Oops). But I'd go to a local guitar store and ask the guy there. He'll prolly have a better answer for you than most of us here.

Vox Cambridge. 15 watt tube amp, built in distortion, great clean tone, also really good at slightly dirty bluesish overdrive. $170
