Metallica concert

I'm going to the July 15 Metallica concert at the LA Colliseum. The bad thing is that Kid Rock, Korn, and Powerman 5000 are also playing. I've never seen Metallica live, so I figure I should still go. Would you guys go even if you had to sit through the other crap before Metallica?

I would... as a matter of fact I am. I don't mind Powerman 5K, but all the other bands I don't really care for. Should be a good concert, maybe I'll see you there.

Yeah I'd go but when the other bands took the stage I'd just sit there flick 'em off and call for Metallica just like in the old days.

errr... What Zepo said! Yeah man that's the ticket. Use the opening bands to get loaded or check out the women. Metallica's great live. You should see them at least once. (BTW... I kind of like PM5K too)

The thing I love about a Metallica concert (at least the ones i've been to) is that the whole crowd gets into it. nothing more exciting than a full stadium turning into a mosh pit during Whiplash!

Get some good earplugs. You're going to need them to survive those crappy bands. Also if you want to actually be able to hear Metallica you're probably going to need them. Metallica plays so loud that you can't make out stuff without them. With earplugs, Metallica will sound fine (still loud though).

I went to the same tour in Alanta. They also had System of a Down. I enjoyed KoRn and SOAD. But the others sucked. Metallica didn't perform because Hetfield got hurt some how, so Kidrock tried to do their songs and he sucked, but KoRn came out with the other members of Metallica and were awesome at it.
