I would say that it makes your timing a hell of a lot better. Coz I play a little drums, n it has made my timing a lot better.

I don't see why it would.

You'd already have a great knowledge of rhythm and timing from your drumming, which is a huge bonus when learning guitar.

A bunch of famous guitarists started out playing drums, and they all said it helped their timing a lot. For example, Eddie van Halen used to play drums and his brother Alex played guitar. Then at some point they switched. And I mean, c'mon, Eddie van Halen. Also, I think Jack White said he started out as a drummer. And...that's all I can think of, really.

My favorite style of acoustic guitar... there is a local guy named Michael Kelsey that I go watch every chance I get.. he gets nuts with it. He loops a lot...

I've been playing "percussive acoustic"/"slap acoustic" for a few years now... ever since I started listening to Jack Johnson, Jason Mraz, and John Mayer, and Michael Kelsey... BTW... Michael Kelsey won Guitar Centers Guitarmageddon 2 years ago with an acoustic guitar. Google him, he has a website and you can watch some clips of him... and check out his music.
