Ive been in a site with a faq like this and it had levels decided by how many posts you have, is that the same here and if so how many posts do you have to have to become something?

To become a host you need to go to the home page www.guitartricks.com (http://www.guitartricks.com) and fill out the application. Moderators were chosen by the Admin and are entierly different than hosts. Moderators simply oversee the forums whereas host have tricks posted at the site. To get upgraded from a New Member to a Member I believe it's only a few posts. Somewhere in the range of 15 I think.

Buzz has it right. It is 15 posts to graduate from new member to member. Moderators volunteer for it. Anyone is welcome to volunteer.

Hosts are people who post a lot of material to guitartricks. They apply to be hosts and are elected by the existing hosts. Hosts vote on how Guitar Tricks runs. For instance, they decided to put up this forum.

This forum is served at guitarforums.com instead of guitartricks.com because we were running out of bandwidth at guitartricks.

Question for you guys, are there people here who didn't get here from guitartricks?
