I heard recentlley a local guitarist playing song , where he made the guitar voice, higher the it's range with a long screaming sound, it sounded like some type of harmonics but when i tried to use harmonics to do it i couldnt
if you understand what i'm talking about - because this is hard to describe tell me how to do it please

I Think You Have to Have A wah pedal And A Floyd rose Tremlo And You Depress The Bar A bit And Pick The Natural Harmonics And At The Same time Raise the Bar Up A Bit And Push The Wah Pedal. Here Is A sound File of Me doing that At The End I Make It Scream By Picking The 5th Fret Harmonics On The G And B Strings At The Same Time and Pulling up the Bar all the Way ang Shaking It and Pushing The Wah Pedal Back And Fourth. Her It Is A:\FUNWIT~1.LNK

You may be right Josh but I offer another suggestion; the guy could have been simply doing some pinch harmonics. Pinch harmonics are where you pick sharply and sort of apply extra pressure with your thumb. It's hard to explain, but basically it just takes practice. If it doesn't soudn at first don't worry, just keep at it and eventually you'll notice a little squel. Once you notice it a bit you will easily be able to improve with practice. Sorry I couldn't tell you the exact method of doing it, but I think everyone sort of has their own way of doing it. But the way I do it is by sort of hitting the string at an angle with the pick putting extra pressure on with my thumb.

Yeah You Right James It May Be A Pinch Harmonic. I Dont Know If Zeplin Knows How tto do One But I Found A Useful Website That Shows you how to Hold your Pick to do One. Ill Post It as soon as I find It again.

This may not be what you heard but I can get a screaming-type of guitar effect by using distortion, natural harmonics and a Floyd...use your fret hand and lay your pinky across all the strings over the area of the neck pickup(you may have to search around for the exact spot). Hit all 6 strings with a hard downward stroke, then give it a dive bomb with the trem. Pulling the trem up only enhances the screaming effect.
Good Luck!
