I'm curious...

Is playing guitar easy?

My friends are willing to teach em but i'm afraid of losing interest...

It depends what you want to do. If you want to play a few chords and some nice riffs, it's easy. If you want to expand and know more than a few riffs, it's a little harder. If you want to know how music works and how to play something all your own that sounds decent, it's tougher still. And...

I've been playing ten years and it's the best thing I did.

Just one thing to say, if you start, stick to it cause when you can imrpovise a solo or a good chord progression it's the best feeling in the world.

You'll find it hard if you compare yourself to others or try to play too complex peices for your skills. Always remember that everything is in your grasp if you practice it.

I never thought I could play some Yngwie malmsteen and I do, I never thought I could improvise a solo, and I do now. They may not be the best out there but they're mine! It's a great feeling.

If you're not sure try to find a cheap used guitar that sounds good. If you decide to leave it behind it won't be hard on your wallet.

now now.. my friends wanted mt to be in a PUNK band... and i mean.. i love it and it would be fun but.. can somebody look up alot of punk tabs and tell me how easy it is...

umma nother thing is makin my own songs..

do u guys find it hard to create a good song..

Did you learn the whole song including the bridge and can you play it in time? Or did you just learn the main lick?

Nothing is easy when you think about it.Easy as in the first three times you try,you soung lik a god in that field.But you'll end up enjoying it tremendously,you'll wonder what you were fretting about being easy.
Besides,you actually did consider taking up the offer to learn.Which tells me you like music.Of course it's not easy when you play and your fingers hurt,but in the end(is this a cliche?),it will be worth it.

ive pretty much play punk my whole guitarin life, n i find it too easy...so now im tryin to learn tappin, n all wicked soundin solos n ish...but, by all means stick to punk n get good at it..
i used to always think like "i jus wanna play punk in my band, i dont care if im not the best guitarist" but thats all changed now.. i wanna be able to go into a guitar shop n have guitar wars wit poeple standin round say "damn, this kid can rip!"

I made my own bass song and it sounsa bitvhin.. oits only an intro for now.. but it works good on guitar too
