I think you are playing an open snare between your tap and your hammerons. Well, it's not incorrect, but I know what you mean. With the normal tapping you should allready lay your finger on the position you want, so if you want to tap the 12th snare and hammer on from 5 to 8 (-t12-5h8-) basicly your index finger of your frettinghand should allready lay on the 5th fret. Don't tap, then lay your finger on the wanted postion, but lay you're finger in the wanted position and TAP then hammer on. Hope it helped.

Sorry, my soundcard just blew in a purple puff... I'll be back on track after I move to my new apartment, and that I get the chance to reinstall windows...

Try Schmange's section. There's gotta be at least 50 lessons there on tapping.

Hereīs a tap lick that will blow your friends away

e--3h4h5h6t7t8t9t10h11h12h13h14t15t16t17t18--|

This is two hand tapping and you will be forced to "jump over your hands". I saw our keyboard player doing lots of jumps and I thoufgt that it looked cool so I fixed my own.

Itīs sound pretty good (but looks 10 times better) and this is the fastest way to get down from 3 till 18 chromaticly too wich can be useful somtimes.

However this lick is just for showing off but itīs pretty orginal I think.
