DeeDee ramone likes em... hmmm.....
I must say that this is actually kinda sexist, the assmption being that if a girl sees a guitar shaped like a flower she's more apt to go for it... I can see more 10 year old girls with braces who just saw the Josie and the Pussycats movie running to their moms and saying with a spittle-filled lisp "oh my god mom I need one of these guitars so bad!!!!", trying it once, and then into the closet it goes...
I wish that more guitar companies would make shorter-scale necks that were geared more for girls; sure there are the mini squiers and stuff like that, but that's not really fair, there should be more profesional-quality instruments available. The only other instrument I can think of off hand that could fit that mold are the short-scale Fender Mustangs that are no longer produced.... but they're so squealy, I could never actually endorse them...

Fender makes several short scale models still, and actually, most Gibsons are short scale.
But I agree - guitars aren't marketed to women. Now maybe it's the guy in me who wants bells, whistles, and most importantly, lots and lots of gadjets, but those guitars seem pretty lame. No cutaway? One pickup? Bolt on necks? It seems that smaller size and "feminine" shapes are ALL they're marketing; not quality.

It's kind of funny...the company targets their marketing at girls under 13 years old, and I bet that not a single purhase has been made from them by a person in that catagory. They probably sell a lot to punk bands like mine own would be had we a punk drummer or to people that just want to make others go "What the f!?"
The scary thing is that the company actually sells enough of those guitars to have stayed in buisness for a while...I remember first seeing adds for their stuff about a year ago but not thinking much of it because I figured on them hitting rock bottom in a month.

even cars marketed for women are just smaller things, nothing else.I dunno, maybe a house wouln't look feminine, whatever that is.I think people still have the mentality that women ought to be submissive and stuff, and sbmissive people can't own things that are bigger or vroomier than you,can they?

There's a girl I used to work with who is your generic cute, wide-hipped teenage brunette, very nice and cheery, I probably woulda dated her if I wasn't already hitched. Her family's loaded and she owns a one-year-old Volvo sedan, top of the line. Once I ran into her in dowtown Boston and she gave me a lift. Now, I've always prided myself on my amazing driving abilities but god damn was this girl a good driver! I've never seen someone sucessfully, and nonchalantly, hang turns and weave through traffic like she did while being totally, like, oh my god, so flirty!
The driver's seat, however, didn't accomodate her hips well and was pretty far forward.

And if you've watched WWf wrestling, don't forget that "chick",Chyna.
Weaker sex,huh?
No way I'm marrying a chick who can kick my butt.Nut then again, she might come in handy in afight or something.I magine how good it would feel, some guy starts some beef wiht your chick, then she handles him herself, and you're just there, watching, acting like when the guys are really tough, that's when you come in,otherwise this is small time for you.Too small time, your girl can handle it.:D

I have a feeling that Chyna could handle guys that would be considered very "big time" to you. There is something so very male about this forum, not that that's a problem or anything.....
