I had to say this, I got myself a new guitar!

It's a Yamaha RGX (two double humbuckers) with a Floyd Rose.

I always had one guitar (Gibson SG) and getting that guitar is like starting over. I feel like kid getting is first guitar, really cool feeling BTW.

Well, that's all.

It's a really nice guitar for people looking to buy one. Paid 700$ CND.

i like Yamahas (even the bikes!) they've got a great reputation and even my cheap asss pacifica has a fine neck.

I guess the frets are a bit fresher than the SG :D, I was exstatic when i got a new guitar recently. So ENJOY the feeling,dude.

Seriously, though, I'm amazed at the way Fender and Gibson seem to have a lock on the top spots in the rankings, while Yamaha consistently builds better guitars of all styles.

I got a yamaha MT4X 4 track recorder and am really happy about the quality.

I guess they put a lot of thinking behind their equipments.

Yamaha will always come under fire for being a japanese brand. Also, any guitar company that makes instruments that look like imitation Fenders will always seem like the other choice, even if they make better instruments. I've always been impressed by Yamaha, but all the music shops where I am only stock entry level Yamahas, so there is never a good guitar to compare with the likes of a Les Paul or Strat.
