OK, I know it's a simple song! That's why I'm learning it! I posed here instead of in techniques since that forum seems to be for the more advanced.

From what I'v found out so far: d/u = strum down up
Em d/u, Em d/u, Em u, Em d/u | F#m d/u, F#m u, F#m u F#m u ||

From what I have been learning (only a couple of months) when you strum up you only need to do the bottom 2 or 3 strings. Is this still the case with a note such as F#m?

Sorry, I'm not up on writing tab yet.

Thanks
Ed

but here's a version http://www.guitaretab.com/gtab/t/459

Ed ......strum all of the strings u r holding down with your fretting hand,initially BUT if it sounds better to you to emphasize certain strings over others feel free and develop your own way - guitar playing is not about cloning someone else's sound.

Much luck.

cheers.

Try these chords for this song when you're up to it. Don't strum the strings marked "X".

Verses: (Strings in EADGBE order) I may have one ( or more ) of the chord names wrong.

Em..........x-x-5-4-5-0
Esus2.....x-x-4-4-5-0

Chorus:

Gmaj7......x-x-5-4-3-2
A6............x-x-4-2-2-0
