I agree that a songwriting section would be a useful addition to the Forum. I think this would represent as much of a distinct group of threads as the Technique and Style or the Tone and Effects sections. It would be a good complement to the Music Theory section.

dov_e_lo: contact Jon Broderic (the Webmaster) with your suggestion. Point out this thread so he can review our comments.

My vote goes to Azrael.

I'd volunteer but I have like 40 unfinished songs so I ain't the best songwritter in here

But if you want to open a if-only-I-could-finish-that-song section then I'm your man :)
