what's the best way u guys have got to record digitally. i use 16 bit soundcard, and it seems to sound decient, but the 24bits are so much nicer, but are a few hundred bucks... ( a few hunderd bucks i don't have right now...) anyone have any similar experiences?
i've sold hundreds of cd's on only 16 bit too...

For home recording, the difference is too little to consider 24 in stead of 16 bit resolution I think. Not worth the extra cash.

Your sound will be as good as the worst piece of gear you have.
You might have a 24 bit soundcard, but if you have a 50 bucks guitar, there goes your 24 bits...

A good Soundcard (mid price) is the Guillemot Maxi Studio ISIS .. it has an external board with 8 inputs, 4 outputs n stuff.. and its not too expensice and easy to use.
