I would be interested in becoming a guitar host for this site. How do I do this?

Contact Jon Broderic at jbroder@guitartricks.com and (you'll pardon the expression :D ) show him your stuff. This is his site. Its his call.
You can post tricks without becoming a Host. Just click on the Contribute (http://www.guitartricks.com/2000/contribute.php) tab on the Home Page and follow the instructions.

well your a new member, try helping people out, and then becoming a senior member, then once you prove to everybody you know your stuff, then you can become a host/mod. my thoughts, at least.

I can't believe how many people who spend so much time here don't know how this works.
First, you post two tricks with sound.
Then, fill out the host application form, letting us know you want to be a host.
Then, all the hosts vote on whether or not to let you be a host. The hosts are very critical, if they approve you, you must be a good player and/or teacher. Also, they try not to have too many hosts of one style of music, favoring multiple styles.
If a majority votes to approve you as a host, you then have to put in at least 8 tricks to start your section.
That's it.
Jon
