View Full Version : Godin Radiator
I have a godin radiator and i was wondering if any one out there has the same problem as i do...this crazy feedbacking hum everytime i turn up my gain on my amp. Push the volume and gain and i get uncontrolable feedback.
What Gives?

recent [less likely to have earthing or sheilding problems] and have the electronics been altered [more likely to have earthing or sheilding problems] ..
Do you get this problem with another guitar? in which case it will be the amp. Do you get the problem if you stand further away from the amp.
Thanks 4 taking the time man...absolutely sorry bout being so latew in replying....
I dont know....i gotta get soem pro to chech it up i think... but a fren of mine putit through a line 6 head and it came out wonderful, really nice tone, a little gnarly for rock and roll but once he turned up the tone...it was bye bye to our ear drums.

The Radiator is a nice guitar, so i suspected the amp :)
I read somewhere that the guitar's pickups get microphonic on high gain.
I am considering getting rid of my Gordon Smith GS2 and buying a Radiator. Am I stupid?

It's a mater of taste I love the sound of Gordon Smiths and would love their LP "Copy" (Graduate/G60). I've heard GSs up close [still yet to play one] and love their sound but never knowingly heard a Godin [i think the Radiators have "p90s" on them ]- which have a good rep and everbody talks favourably about them, you could try taking your GS to the shop and testing it against a Godin.
Alternatively, sell me your GS for 50 quid and use the money for a down payment..:D
OK - I'll let you know when I lose my senses! ;)
I decided to keep the GS2, and sell my Seagull S6 folk-sized acoustic, to try and save up towards a Radiator. I found them for £269 in a shop in Crawley, Sussex, so I may be able to get something close to that for the Seagull.
I figured owning two acoustic guitars was at least 1 too many, seeing as I rarely play acoustic.
