Hi Folks,

I found this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=owAuOHqLyts .
At the beginning (12sec) practices the right Guitarist a interesting style sounds like rock&roll. Is there a tutorial on guitartricks which explain this technique?

Regards

Alfonso

Hi Alfonso,

I took a look at the YouTube video you asked about. Those guys are doing a really solid acoustic-rock strum, and using barre chords and left-hand muting techniques to create a percussive effect and boost the groove.

Depending on where you are in your guitar learning, there are a number of resources here on Guitar Tricks you'll want to look at.

Make sure and look at the Rock Courses. (http://www.guitartricks.com/course.php?input=rock1)

I am sure there are some songs in the Songs section that approach that technique, but unfortunately, I am only closely familiar with the songs that I have done the tutorials for. You might check out Me & Bobby McGee (http://www.guitartricks.com/tutorial.php?input=921) for some basics on acoustic rock strumming, in a song context.

Hope this helps!
Best wishes, Lisa
