Hi,

Got a question...
Just started to play al little electric guitar.
And today i found out you have an iphone (or ipod touch) app that can simulate effects... (you need some sort of cable to connect it!

Does anyone of you have experience with this??
Please let me know if it is working good!

Hi Niek,

We've been hearing about these iPhone/iPad effects apps too, and they seem pretty cool!

None of us have tried any of them yet though.

It's just crazy what you could do with a phone these days. Remember when you just called people with it?

I'm trying to picture myself showing up to a gig with a guitar and a PHONE! Amps in your pocket - pretty cool.

Pretty soon you'll be able to just stay at home and have your phone play the gig for you! lol :)

Amplitube has an Iphone app, and I likes me some Amplitube! I actually have Amplitube 3 on my laptop and went to a jam session with the laptop and my guitar because I didn't want to lug an amp out. Just plugged into the PA and the sounds you can get out of that thing are pretty amazing!

I'm a student but I've got a friend that would be described as a "retired pro" who's much sought after for live gigs and session work. He's got the Amplitube/iRig app:

... and he loves it. He says the amps and effects are dead on.

For $40, it's hard to go wrong.
