I see lots of posts about practicing scales, and my guitar teacher hasn't really started on that kind of stuff yet (still reading music right now). Whatis the scale Im used to right now? Starting from the 1st string it goes
3-1-0 3-1-0 2-0 3-2-0 3-2-0 3-1-0.
Thanks

Uhhh, if that's C, why does it have an F#?
It doesn't really look like a scale at all, but if you want to get technical, you could say that you're going between Am and Am Dorian. The F makes it Am, and the F# pushes it to Dorian.

Until Mr Android tells us which it is .... that's what I thought also, Christoph. But, if you look at it as the EBGDAE in that order, then it IS the notes of the C major scale. So, what MODE would you call it ? G mixolydian from high E "G" note down to open low E, or maybe it's E Phrygian from open low E to high E "G" note.

LOL . . . my mistake. I didn't realize that he meant those notes to go across the strings like that. I thought he was playing them all on the first string. Doh!
Yup, it's C major!

Hey Skee. Good to see you again. You pulled one of your disappearing acts again. I've noticed that you'll be online all the time for about week, and then you'll be gone for a long time.
Do you travel out of town or something?
