I posted a thread a few weeks ago regarding puting my guitar into my zoom 505, pting the 505, into my fender princeton 65 amp, connecting the amp to my yamaha emx660mixer (p.a.). I am connecting the amp to the pa through my amps "pre-out".

In the earlier post a few people said it would be ok to do this, and one other person at virgin studios and guitar player said I shoudnt. He said that I would blow my sub woofer in the pa. But the owners manual says I can plug a bass guitar into the pa, which has clearly more low end than a guitar. The owners manual doesnt really say anything about plugging an amp into it, but it does say you can plug a bass or "electric acoustic" in to it. And also i dont know if they mean the type of guitar electric acoustic or an acoustic or electric. Thanks in advance.

I think it depends on the ammount of output that comes out of that Pre-Out. If it's hotter than a normal guitar/bass then it could be very bad for the board. If the signal is the same strength then it should be OK.

I think it'll sound better miced though.

Alright Dr. No, the signal coming out of your pre amp is boosted way over what comes directly out of a bass or e/a accoustic, thats what a pre amp does, the real question is what the particular input you are using on your mixer can handle, I suggest you contact Yamaha
