guitar tricks

I'm trying to improve my style by learning some tricks of the greats. I'd like to know any Jimmy Page, Hendrix, Gilmore, Vai, Zappa, Wylde...tricks you guys want to give up. Cool stuff nothing too simple or commerical sounding. Or better yet anyone's origanal tricks are well appreciated too. Just trying to be the next great as we all are. Sidenote I was told Santana picked up all his style from getting random riffs from differnt people all over the country while touring, in those days they didn't have the internet so try to appreciate how cool it really is. Thanks for the tip I have tried that with minimal sucess. It's hard to find exactly what I'm looking for b/c their are so many to choose from. Some of them are too simple and some too vague, I guess I'm looking for a specific trick someone out their knows to save me the hours and hours of time it would take me to find it myself. Don't get me wrong though I have found quite a few I am just looking to build upon those I already know. The first place I looked was in the search engine.
