I was wondering if anyone owns the Roland AC33 Acoustic amp, and what do you think of it, What are some of the Pros and Cons discovered after playing it for awhile. I' like to purchase one, but want to hear a little about the experience of someone who has owned one for longer than a month or two at least. Thanks.

Hey J,
I don't own one but I've always like Roland's amps, they make great clean tones for sure (Roland Jazz Chorus).

I haven't tried one out in person, (I haven't seen one in the store to try) But they are available online, I've checked out some reviews online, Looks to be the one I would be buying, I like what I see of it.

My Roland DAC-15 is over 25 years old... It's had 1 minor functional repair [guitar in jack] and one modification to make the controls easier to see and operate.. It was not designed as an acoustic guitar amp, but I've play my e/a through it and it sounded good to me...
I hope this give you a little help..
good luck and keep on pickin'

Thanks for the info. I've made up my mind that the AC33 is a quality amp, as you all have stated experience with Roland quality, and a little wear & tear after 25 years is to be expected. I liked the review. I'll be contacting Sweetwater.

Good luck with your purchase. I have a Laney acoustic amp which I bought on impulse. Not terribly impresssed with it but then maybe I do not set it up correctly. It has Pad, Reverb, Chorus, anti-feedback and two channels. It certainly makes the guitar louder but no wow factor. Is there a way to set up the Eq and the the other effects to get the best out of it or do I just play around with it. Any suggestions welcomed.
