Thanks for all the help with recording to my computer. I haven't got around to downloading, I mean buying ;) a copy of Cubase yet but I found a way to record without it.
Just get your regular ol guitar cable or patch cord and buy a 6.3mm-3.5mm converter (about two dollars) and stick that sucker into the Mic jack on your soundcard. Use the windows program Start/Programs/Entertainment/Sound Recorder to record. It's not great, but it works. I used Nero to convert the .wav files to .mp3 .

Line-In has better sound quality than the mic input. Check the back of that sound card and you'll find that one near it. You have to go to the yellow speaker at the bottom right and change what you are recording from, though.

The volume control setting yellow speaker. Look at your screen in the bottom right corner where all of those icons are. See it? Double click--->Goto Options---->Properties. Change the circle thing to Recording. Put a check mark in the Line In box that you see on this menu if there isn't one there already. Press OK. Put a check mark in the check box below Line In in the now changed window(It used to be Playback Options before you changed it to Recording Options).

Today I downloaded, err, bought, a copy of cubase and I don't have a clue how to use it. Can somebody give me the five minute intro 'how to'?
