i was asking about him a few weeks ago, he's an awesome shredder but he's seemed to drop of the face of the earth.

Yeah, he has lost his exposure in the mainstream media like Guitar Player etc. but he is still very active. He has gotten into some very intersting projects as of late and I think he's twice the musician and guitar player now than he was 10 years ago with Living Colour. A real inspiration

i love to hear him play but i can't stand the sight of him. just for those stupid looking clothes he would wear back in the day. He looked like he robbed a lost and found box or something. I was kinda suprized and shocked when i first saw him like 1 1/2 years ago, mainly cause he was black and i hadn't seen anybody like that play that type of music. I wish he would get back in the mainstream. Truly i do. his birthday was earlier this week i think, so heads up starting the topic.

yeah, it is still there but last time I looked it seemed like the site administrator hadn't been around in at least a couple of years. I guess he just abandoned the whole thing. I hope not. VR was and is such a cool guitarist and musician. He really did a lot for me when I was feeling less than enthusiastic about guitar years ago. he really brought home the spirit of Dolphy and 'Trane to the rock guitar world.
I highly recommend his Mistaken Identity disk.

that's outstanding, thanks for the update. I'm glad he didn't lose interest.
