Amp through a P.A.?

im not sure if puting my fender princeton 65 amp through my P.A. is a good idea. I dont mic it up to my amp, i just plug my guitar into my amp and my amp straight into the P.A.. In the owners manual it says you can plug a bass guitar straight into it or an electric acoustic straight into it etc.. I am not sure if i can plug my amp into it so i would appreciate some help. thanks.

If you connect a 'line out' to a PA input, it should work just fine.

I hope you're not connecting the External Speaker jack to the PA amp input.

The guitar amp speaker output needs to have the right kind of load connected to it, or things go badly wrong. Tube amps are especially sensitive to load mismatch.

At the other end of the cable, the PA input is probably designed to handle less than a volt. You may be feeding it 20 times that much!

Yes, a Pre-out is the line-level (about 1 Volt) output of the pre-amp. If you got a user's manual with the amp, it should have some information about the amp's features.
