new chords

I think i need some new chords or some new stuff to play. I seem to only be practicing the chords i know really well becuase they are easyier. dont know what to do :( please help lol

have you thought about making your chords richer??

You can do so by adding the 2nd (or 9th if it's one octave higher)

There's also the 4th (or 13th same reason)

Try other ones two, but those are the most effective ones. (There's the 7th too, but I guess you know those)

trying going through some old threads, we've had really good ones about cool chords

adding ninths, elevenths, etc certainly add color to basic chords.
Youy may also start to experiment with same chords, different positions, as well as chords played in inversion
(changing order of low to high pitches)_

hi after shox, am a novice myself been playing 3 months.i find alternate tunings produce some wonderfull sounds and some easy one and two finger chords to make life more interesting try listening to joni mitchell, bob dylan for example.

For a decent introduction to some jazz chords. Pick up Mickey Baker's Jazz guitar instructional book. That has some nice chords and chord progressions in it, ites relatively uncomplicated and its pretty inexpensive.
