Hey Everybody!!!!
Just wanted to say hey and glad to be part of the community!!! Here is me in a nutshell... I am 40, been playing since I was 15, moved out to LA to "give it my shot" when I was 19-21 and one of those,"missed a contract by that much" guys. After that, I put the guitar down for years til my son was born in 93 and he found my first guitar in the closet and I pulled it out and re fell in love with the instrument. Joined a band again in my 30's in New Orleans and then got blown away, literally by Hurricane Katrina (another story for another time). Since then, as of May of 08, I have been on disibility with back issues, 5 herniated disks in my back, so now I am spending my time improving my guitar playing again, mainly due to loss of some mobility in my right arm, but is getting much better. Other than that, my passion is building Custom guitars you will never find off the shelf at a music store and I also do custom painting, although that part has slowed down considerably due to my health. I am currently waiting on all my parts for 2 full Fender Strat builds and will post pics of them as they are completed.
Well, its great to be here, any advice or info is greatly accepted, as although I have played for many years, its like I am starting all over again, just with a lot more knowledge, just refreshing my chops as well as I can.
