Bending natural Harmonics

Hi there, I've long been a fan of harmonics but it was only recently that I learned that it's possible to bend natural harmonics. All you have to do is to sound the harmonic at a fret and quickly fret the string. Then you can bend it however you want. It looses a bit of volume in the process but it's a good thing to learn if you're not comfortable with pinch harmonics. You can also bend them by pushing the string around behind the nut but this eventually distunes the guitar.

I've heard that method described as "harp harmonics" before, I guess on Acous which often don't have a cutaway it's the easiest way to play high notes. Sounds great too.

they are harp when you mix them with normal notes, it's used by chet atkins.

Or . . . you could just use the whammy bar.

Yip, whammys are great, except mine which totally distunes everything. A friend of mine had a guitar with a floyd rose and that was great fun to play, you could do press ups on it and it'd keep tune. There's that buzzing trick you can do too if it's floating where you pull the whammy away from the body and let it snap back with a sound like a purring tiger. Tres cool!
