Can anybody please recommend any beginners books or DVDs for a six year old who really wants to learn?

Without the active guidance of a patient, knowledgable adult (parent, guitar instructor, etc.) I am not sure any book or DVD would really benefit a 6 year old child. However, with the help of said adult, probably just about any beginner book or DVD would be fine.

Alfred's, Mel Bay, and FJH are all established, well respected companies in this area. See if any of those look interesting to you (or the adult that will be assisting). Making sure the adult is on board with the program is just as important as keeping the child actively interested.
