Hi all,

My name is Dan and I'm in Charlotte, NC. I'm 39 and just started learning guitar last spring. For a while I was going thru various free stuff that can be found on the net. I kind of got into a rut and decided I needed a more structured curriculum to fill the holes in my learning, relearn some things, and just pick up a lot of advice that will help get me rocking out like my guitar heroes sooner rather than later. So I found GT, decided to give it a try and been a member for about 2 weeks. GT has really been what I've been looking for and has helped me a lot in just a couple weeks. The instruction is great (thx Chris S.)!

As for equipment, I have an ESP LTD MH103QM (soon to be hot-rodded w/some dimarzios) and a Vox AD15VT XL amp. For acoustic-electric, I play on a Takamine EAN40C which I love.

Anyhow, I just wanted to say "hi" to everyone and look forward to learning and sharing more. I know my wife is sorely hoping I can share something that sounds good thru a guitar someday - haha! With GT's help, I'm sure I will soon.

Hi Dan,
Welcome to GT..
You'll be rocking in no time.. The biggest drawback to me is that there is so much interesting info here it's hard to close the site and practice. Not to mention checking out the links that are posted..
