View Full Version : What should every good guitarist know?

Hello

OK, so I mainly want to play jazz guitar and a bit of the singer songwriter type stuff. However, what are the types of things every guitarist should know no matter what style they play? What scales, chords etc?

if you start with the fundamental lessons here on GT you will learn the basics that every guitar player should know....then it will be easier to move on Jazz!

Take care of your digits. I ran a drill bit through my index finger last night on my fretting hand. Ouch and sore. :rolleyes:
