WHAT AN AWESOME SOUNDING Acoustic guitar! Local guitar store was having an excellent special. 2 epiphone guitars for the price of one. So, I got this acoustic, and my buddy got himself a epiphone les paul clone. We split the cost. :)

Large dreadnought top crafted from genuine solid Sitka spruce produces sound to rival the Classic Epiphones of the 1930s. Solid mahogany back and sides add warmth while the bound rosewood fretboard with snowflake inlays provides a silky feel. A perfect guitar for everything from hard-rock rhythms to bluegrass leads.

Epiphone Masterbilt DR-500M Acoustic Guitar Features:

Premium solid Sitka spruce top
Premium solid mahogany back and sides
Bound rosewood fretboard
Bound top and back
Nickel tuners

Thanks! It was such a sweet deal couldn't refuse.

Looking forward to playing on it a lot. Can't hide your slop behind affects and distortion. I noticed that the fingers don't slide as easy on those strings.

Actually, i have a question on this.. The guitar comes with only one strap peg. I asked about it, he said it was because they leave the neck strap peg off so the player can decide where to put it themself.

There were like three places where he told me. Two were basically on the neck/body area, the third was to actually have the strap tie to the end of the neck.

So, my question is, are there pro's and cons to where you put your acoustic guitar strap? What typically is more comfortable? Or is that going to be the "what feels best to you" answer?

I used to tie it on the neck until I "went public". :) Then I got strap locks and installed them. I remembered some discussion on the topic...

Sixpicker made a good point that it might affect the neck over time to tie it on that way.

In any event, I personally find it more comfortable to have the strap button on the neck heel.

And congrats on your purchase!! A lot of the highest end guitars are using Sitka tops. With the mahogany sides & back it must sound great!

It does sound great! Problem is, is that it would be nice to take camping and things like that, however, I wont want to take this one.
