I use the GK2a connected to my steinberger guitar. Then the GK2a goes into a Rolang GI-10 that changes the signal into midi informations. I then connect into the joystick port of my PC, and I can record and play the stuff I want into cubase VST... I also have a sound module (cna't recall the number though) that lets me play live without goinf through a PC.
There are great 'all in one' stuff now that allow yo to have the GK2a connected to a single device (be it a Roland VG88, or a Roland GR33) that have simplified the whole process of playing midi guitar... Have fun!!

Does it matter what kind of guitar i have? i read somewhere where they had a table of equipment that you put together for a setup and they hadn't specific guitar models? thanks alot

Strat style guitars are easier to set up with the GK2A, because you need to have the pickup right under the strings, but anything is possible.

I would have used Axion's pickup, cause it's better
reading if u play fast. At least that what ppl have said
to me.. Axion read shred.. Roland don't.. Most synths and sound modules let u play live with the sound u want without going though your pc.. Shred with a Church-organ or harpsicord.. that's COOL.. = )

If set up correctly, the GK2a shreds fine
