can there be a GT chat?

Thought it would be pretty hip to be able to chat with some of the members and/or instructors here. Is there any chance that GT will offer chat?

I run another site www.musicianwar.com that has an audio chat where you can both text chat and also take turns playing guitar (assuming the guitar is plugged into the computer) and everybody can hear you play.

Do you think that would be good here?

I dont have my guitar hooked up to the computer as of now...
still learning and plan to make some attempts with my new mac but I would totally be down for the text chat! I come here a lot and once I scan the boards I always wish there was a chat room to go to....I think it would be awesome!

I am in the process of relearning to play right-handed (I used to play left-handed, but I shattered my right hand and can no longer fret the notes), I'm not sure that anyone could stand to hear me play just yet. Maybe in the future. But I would definitely be interested in the text part. However, I'm sure that many of the GT members would definitely love it if that feature was added to the site.

It would be easier to set up a plain text chat than an audio chat.

It seems there is not a lot of interest in the audio portion. Is that true?

While not the same as a chat exactly, it is a place where you can get into some interesting and active conversations with other GT people. People are joining in droves!
