Hi all from sunny Perth in Western Australia.
My 37th birthday present is a subscription to a guitar tutorial site. Picked up the guitar in my late 20s. I keep picking it up and putting it down because I'm plateauing constantly, I don't think my playing has changed in the last 4 years at least. I feel like I just need some direction. I think it's time to do something different.
So I decided to bite the bullet and sign up to GT. Liked the way the site was layed out and the explanations that the videos give. Had a quick peruse of some tutorials, Joes "Jimi Hendrix" tutorial caught my eye, I fired it up an in the first lesson had me going 'WOW, really?' I believe the words 'That was worth the price of admission right there' came out :)
I'd like to one day have my wife say 'Hey that sounded really good'. My kids have said that, but given some of their musical tastes, I'm not sure if that's a compliment or an insult.
So I'm looking forward to absorbing as much as I can, and probably annoying the hell out of the tutors.
