I just purchased a Crate 212GFX with onboard DSP electronic effects.I love the versatility of the effects!
My problem is that I am getting a lot of bass out of the amp and cannot remove it-no matter what I do.
Can someone help me? PLEASE!!!!!!

i have the exact same amp!!! I have a Johnson J-station also, so I try to use that, which kinda helps, but i really like the tone i get from it. Also, putting the gain up and not usin the second layer of distortion should help a little I play a Squier strat and a jackson rhodes on it, which I think both do the job pretty well and sound great through the amp.

just curious- What kind of playin do u do? like what gigs and stuff like that. I stay at home and play with a CD. The farthest i've gone is playin in a few talent shows (im 15)

I have been playing for over 24 years(I am 38) and am still learning every single day. I have mostly played in church bands and groups.
My influences are Billy Gibbons(ZZ Top), Stevie Ray Vaughn, Gary Moore, Steve Lukather, Eddie Van Halen, Jeff Healey and Eric Johnson to name a few.
I enjoy making sounds and effects with my guitar that leave my listener(s) wondering how I did that. Here is a list of my equipment. It is basic, but effective nevertheless.

Guitar is:
Epiphone Les Paul Special II with a Gibson neck, standard bridge & two double coil pickups-1 bridge position & 1 neck position.

Amplifier is:
Crate 212 GFX w/onboard DSP effects.

Strings are ALWAYS GHS Boomers extra light. I break a lot of "E" strings, but these sound great!!

Pedals are:
Boss DS1 distortion
Boss CH1 chorus pedal
Morley Pro series Wah pedal
Boss AC1 acoustic simulator
MXR Phase 45 (this pedal is over 20 years old!!)

All these pedals are powered by an SKF Stomp 6 pedal board.

So do you have any ideas on removing the bass level in the amp?
