My name is Kev, I'm (nearly) 47 years old, live in England and have just started to seriously learn to play guitar after picking up and putting down one for the last year or so. I've been using this website for a couple of weeks now and have learned so much more than I did before - I really enjoy Chris's informal approach to teaching and Lisa has been especially helpful and encouraging - thank you both!

I also wanted to tell you about a conversation I had with a colleague the other day who happened to see me reading the website;

Colleague: 'Learning to play guitar, are you?'

Me: 'Yes. It's something I've always wanted to do, but never got around to...'

Colleague: 'Hmmmm! Aren't you a bit old to be wanting to become a rock star?'

Me: 'Well one, I have no aspirations to be a rock star; two, I want to learn a new skill; and three, haven't you ever just wanted to be able to pick up an instrument and be able to play it BECAUSE YOU CAN?'

Colleague:'Hmmmm!' and with that, turned on his heel and went back to his desk.

A little while later, I happened to glance in his direction and on his screen was GUITARTRICKS.COM!

So if you happen to be reading this, dear colleague, I hope you enjoy the website as much as I do and thanks for unintentionally giving me the inspiration to become a better player!

Regards,

Kev
