Hi all,

I have been playing electric a fair while but have just ventured into the acoustic world... anyway, there is a technique used on a great little novelty song by Sam Hart on youtube about Mario Kart :p

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VDBpQVhCMb8

just a catchy little song not to be taken seriously, but i can't tell just from listening what his right hand is doing, would anyone be good enough to tell me? its obviously finger picking of some sort but my ear is not yet good enough to work it out...

thanks guys :) - great site by the way just signed up :)

it sounds like he's using his thumb, and two fingers, and alternating the bass notes.

I'll get another listen later, when there's a little less going on. I'll let you know if I hear something else, let's see what everyone else says about it too.

I don't know the picking but i have to say that is the cutest little song i have heard in a long time. Ofcourse being a old timer and old school game geek does help :)

thanks for bringing that to my attention

I assume it's finger picking such as from Lisa's lesson here:
