I was just wondering if anyone owns or has used a Vox V847 wah wah pedal, if so could you please tell me what you thought about it.

Also i was wondering which pedal people thought was a better wah, the standard crybaby from Dunlop, or the Vox V847 wha.

Not the official Bad Horsie sponsor, just endorse whatever Steve Vai uses. But you can adjust the Vox so you can get a whole lot more tones than usual. I can't really explain it but someone at a music store should be able to show you. That is, if the guy has any clue of what he's doing.

I'm looking to buy a wah, and I was wondering what the general opinion was.

I tried the BOSS GT-3, and the wah was alright, but not very customizable (all the wah effects using the pedal sounded pretty much alike).

I read in a book teaching you how to play the wah that the Dunlop Crybaby was the exact same as the Vox wah. Mind you, this book was written by Dunlop, for the Crybaby wah.

Are there any other wahs out there that haven't been mentioned (i haven't forgotten about the bad horsie). Also, what should I look for in a wah pedal?

Just go by what your ear tells you. Their is no other way. Oh, also make sure it's built to survive, you never know what is going to fall on it.

Ive known the Crybaby by Dunlop to be the best wah pedal around.
