Software??

are those guitar software helpful for me to learn the guitar? I mean some of you probably have one or two of 'em...maybe you can tell me how they are...or name me a few I can buy if possible.

the only guitar sofware I use is Power Tab editor.

You can produce tabs and music score, import them in midi files, html format. It's really easy to use and free on the internet.

I never bought any guitar software. I always learned with books. If your an intermediate player I suggest SPEED MECHANICS by TROY STETINA. That book really helped me in my technique and finally got me off a 2 year plateau.

i use a few cds that have 'tracks' on them, with just guitar melody throughout the whole thing, but i only use one of them. Its some jazz thing, cant remember what its called.

I got a lesson book c/w a cd. i think that it is awesome because you can play the music till you are good and listen to the cd to see how it should sound and then finally play along .... i got right into the saints go marching in .... still haven't found "Mary Had a Little Lamb" lesson tho...
