any TOOL fans?

who here loves TOOL. Its is my favorite band, and is hands down, the best band in the world...in my opinion. Meynards lyrics are amazing and Danny Carry's drumming is hypnotizing! I thought I would start this thread for people to say, hey, I love TOOL too.

Like. I've tried to get into them in the past. A little dark for me. I have one of their CDs. It's been a while, think I'll give it a new spin.

I absolutely love TOOL...I always tell people, that they are perhaps the only band out there, where I've liked just about every song on every CD. I honestly can't say that about many of my other favs. Metallica, Pantera, Dream Theater & on & on....all are bigtime favorites of mine....but I can't honestly say that I listen to every tune on their CDs. Usually between 50-60% of the tracks on a given CD for any of them.
With TOOL, I tend to like just about all of it...front to back.

The part that sucks though, is that I can not seem to ever mimic their vibe worth a squat. LOL They've got that dark, raw, edge of reckless type of style that sounds totally off the cuff, yet is still incredibly tight. Tough to effectively copy...I hear a lot of people try...but most just don't quite pull it off completely or convincingly.

Love TOOL!! They are part of my favorites band, Dream Theater on top and Tool right under.
