Hello All,

My name is Chris and I just got a guitar last week. Its a Lyon by Washburn. Cheap-ish but I didn't want to invest in something that I wasn't sure would continue.

I found this website and joined this week and I've had the first few lessons and things are going quite well.

Don't know why I'm intimadated about chords but so far I've learned 4. :) I like the instructional videos and learning at your own pace. This site is great and I'm glad I found it.

So, nice to be here and 'meet' you all.

I've been here just over a month. I must say this place is great!
Don't feel bad about chords, I struggle with them as well. I'm sure most everyone does.

However, last night I was watching the barre chords videos in Fundimentals 2. Looks like barre chords is the way to go. :) But, hey, I'm new as well, so what do I know.

Yeah... I was watching the videos on them last night. They look great.

Wait until you get to do the F Major chord (not barre). i hate that chord. My pinkie just does not want to cooperate.

Hi Chris,

I got that exact guitar a few months back, and while I am hoping for a new one come Christmas, I really like it. It comes with all you need to get started out:)

I am finally getting a little better at changing chords. I am on the same place, the barre chords, and yeah seems the way to go.

The beginner courses are really good. I have been on fundamentals 2 for quite some time now hahah but its alot of info. I really like this site there is a ton and I mean a ton of lessons at beginner level to mess around with too.
See ya,

Ed
